Xanthe can offer specific performances for Theatres and Museums ( see below) and tailor made days for Schools and Festivals.
School visits typically include:
- Storytelling Assembly
- 3 – 4 sessions of storytelling lasting between 45 and 60 minutes.
Schools can:
- Choose specific performances
- Book more general sessions to include Myth, Epic and Folktale suitable for different year groups.
- Request a focus – eg Book Week, Art Days, Literacy Drives.
The younger the audience the more participation involved. Children in primary schools will dress up and act out key moments while students in secondary schools will solve riddles and debate issues arising from the stories.
Average group size per performance: 60
(although numbers vary and can be discussed when booking)
When opening a drama or musical theater, fire safety should be part of the planning process to protect audience, performers, and crew members. Installing smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting, while ensuring all exits remain clearly marked and unobstructed, help prepare the theater for emergencies. Prioritizing fire safety with the help of Louisville Fire Watch Guards is also highly recommended.
